Finally, the biggie of socio-commercial cinema sets on signing the deal with Gemini Film Circuit about remaking ‘3 Idiots’ in Tamil and Telugu.
3 IDIOTS – Mother of all big tickets
Released during the end of 2009, Aamir Khan Starrer ‘3 Idiots’ turned to be the biggest grosser in South Asian film industry as it collected large sum of profit. With Madhavan donning one of the lead characters in this film, it added more to the receiving levels of audiences in South India as well.
Remake buzzes for past 6 months
Following the grand success of this film, it was instantaneously reported that Gemini Films have acquired the remake rights of this film in Tamil and Telugu. Although it was mentioned that Pawan Kalyan may enact Aamir Khan’s role in Telugu, the confirmation of Vijay in Tamil version still remains as a buzz.

Post release of ‘Endhiran’, Filmmaker Shankar will kick-start the shooting of both Telugu and Tamil versions simultaneously with Gemini Productions churning out these films at a big budget. Discussions are going on with some of the A-stream actors to be a part of this film and so about the technical crew.
