PRABHU DEVA - NAYANTHARA BEST CLOSE-UP COUPLE
Actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva and Nayantara, who plan to get married in December, won the best close-up couple award at the South Scope Awards 2010 instituted by South Scope magazine.
The awards were presented to the winners by the evergreen Sridevi on Sunday night at a colorful function held at Hotel Novotel, Hyderabad in the presence of her hubby Boney Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Rama Naidu, Allu Arvind and others.
Magadheera won five major awards, including the best film award, the best actor award (Ram Charan Teja) and the best director award (Rajamouli), while Anushka bagged the award for the best actress for her performance in Arundhati. Sonu Sood won the best supporting actor award for Arundhati.
The other winners are: Best supporting actress – Ramya Krishnan (Koncham Ishtamga Koncham Kashtamga); Best comedian – Brahmanandam (Koncham Ishtamga Koncham Kashtamga); Best music director – Devi Sri Prasad (Arya 2); Best lyricist – Chandrabose (Magadheera); Best cinematographer – Senthil Kumar (Magadheera); best debut actor – Naga Chaitanya; best debut actress – Reema Kalinga. The South Scope Achievement award went to Rama Naidu.
