VODAFONE UNVEILS SOLAR POWERED PHONE VF 247 IN INDIA

The mobile service provider company Vodafone has launched its first solar powered handset VF 247 in India. The phone is expected to hit Indian market in next month and will be available at the price of Rs.1500.
 

The new solar powered phone VF 247 is targeted at the rural areas where people mostly face difficulties for shortage of electricity and frequent power-cut. The VF 247 needs no electricity rather automatic charges will be done by exposure to sun light. Even, the phone also charges in a room under normal daylight with special support of hardware and software.
 

The full charge of the phone will last for more than eight days offering four hours of talk time. The phone comes with features like FM radio, color screen and a powerful torch light.
