PUTTARAJ GAWAI DEAD PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
He passed away at his ashram in Gadag in north Karnataka.
Pandit Puttaraj Gawai, born March 3, 1914 is an Indian musician in the Hindustani classical tradition, a scholar who has authored more than 80 books in Kannada, Sanskrit and Hindi, a music teacher and a social servant.
Puttaraja’s dream of releasing a magazine devoted to music,literature,theatre and religion was realized when the monthly ‘Panchakshara Prakasha’ was published from “Veereshwara Punyashrama” in 1969 and reached all nooks and corners of the state, spreading the fame and message of his Guru.
The magazine is now being published as “Panchakshara Vani”.
