Rahman will lead a three-city tour of his 'Jai Ho' concert in Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban), Cape Town and Sun City from November 20 to 26.
With his concert in Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban), built for the recent FIFA 2010 World Cup, Rahman will become the first overseas artist to play at Moses Mabhida Stadium. "We are proud to be associated with A.R. Rahman's Jai Ho concert," said Fathima Hassim of DStv Indian, which beams a range of Indian channels into South African homes.
"South African fans can expect a fusion of Eastern and Western musical influences that will take Bollywood music into the future with this incredible production," said Sam Hendrikse, CEO of Hunta Live, who is co-hosting the show with DStv Indian.
The A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour has already travelled to over 20 major arenas and cities worldwide.
